History: Born in Meatha, Gideon was the son of a high ranking public official. During most of his childhood, he could be found sitting in the corner of the parlor while his parents discussed politics with whoever was visiting the house. He was very interested in how government functioned, and when he was old enough, he started learning law. He toiled day and night looking over law books, and being taught public speach by various tutors.
When he turned eighteen he entered the town hall, and became a voice in the court. He became known as an advocate of liberal policies. He pushed for things to not stay the same most of the time, and was not easily moved from his position. Even though he was a small voice, he had the knowledge to be able to back up his decisions, and that made him enemies in the more liberal circles. After two attempts on his life, he left the court in Meatha for good.
Abandoning his title, he went to Dalphora. He quickly ran out of money for rent, and food soon after arriving. He decided serving the Atsirian military would be his best choice of a new career. He was basically handed a sword, and given a little training in it before he was assigned. He was a simple guard for two years in Dalphora, and only had a handful of times he needed to fight. After two years, he was transfered to a remote post at the Hanalan border. Five years there put him in excellent condition. Fights with a great many bandits, and smugglers toughened him to a point above the standard soldier.
He was promoted to the rank of commander, and put in charge of a group of soldiers at the Hanalan border. Under his command, smuggling in the area he was given was drastically reduced. He was a hands-on leader, personally capturing and killing quite a few of the bandits. Now after five years being commander, his direct superior had fallen ill. Unable to continue work, she needed a replacement. She appointed Gideon, and no one doubted the choice. Gideon then became a General of Atsiria.
Gideon arrived at Razen, and had to readjust to political life after 11 years of being away. He worked 4 long years building a reputation as a more liberal voice in military affairs. Now at the age of 35, he has become a Councillor. His long journey into the political life he dream of is now beginning.
Personality - While you would think he would have matured over the years, he has kept himself young, and full of energy. He is very stuborn about his beliefs, and he won't hold back while defending them. He is a little hot-headed, and has quite a temper. His way of dealing with his temper is a remedy that a friend in the military told him about. He is an avid tabacco user, and buys it imported from Hanalan. He is also very passionate about whatever he does, giving 100% of his his focus and drive to it.
He is fiery patriot. He believes that the good of the country must be put ahead of what one person says. While he likes the royal family, he believes that the policies of having one person hold absolute power isn't the way to go. He is hoping that during his time as Councillor, he can make Atsiria less of a monarchy.
Appearance: Gideon is a somewhat tall Atsirian. He has dark brown hair, and brown eyes. He doesn't have any marks that are visible that would show that he had been in the military as long as he has.
